My friend surprise me with this earl gray cake, and it was delicious! I love the little meringues on it… The tea flavour comes to a really nicely. Sponge cake is lovely too. Absolutely loved trying this place for the first time! Wouldn’t have known about it if it weren’t for them. Can’t wait to try their other stuff

Great little café ran by a couple. Cakes are very tasty and eye catching with no too much sugar. I tried also the Bibimbap. Prices are reasonable. I got the combo any cake plus Canadiano for $9.40 plus the Bibimbap for $10.50. Highly recommend the Café Gateau de Henry, much better than what we saw on the 4th Avenue.

October 30, 2025: I went here around 1pm just to check it out, and it did not disappoint. A cute, quiet cafe located near the Cineplex with a great selection of cakes and other desserts. I tried the tiramisu and it was just right - not too sweet and the coffee flavour did not overpower the taste. I got a small sample of the red velvet to try and that was great too! The owners were also lovely. Looking forward to trying the other desserts, especially the red velvet, next time I visit.

Just ordered 2 small slides cake but the owner still gave me a happy birthday heart for my cake . They was super nice even with small order. Very impressed for my very first time here. Highly recommend!

Henry and wife are absolutely amazing people and even better chefs. They created a beautiful custom cake for our wedding consisting of three different flavours for each tier (pictured). On top of that, we also had three additional cakes from them. They were a huge hit and no cake was left over. The Tiramisu, Sweet Potato, and Chocolate Ganache were the top flavours! I’ve also come here on other special occasions and also just get a quick coffee and bite - they never disappoint. This is my go-to desert spot! Thank you so much!

This is perhaps my favourite cafe in all of Vancouver! I love the owners, a very sweet couple who make this cafe super welcoming and comfortable. The coffee menu is small but well curated, and they have an amazing selection of cakes and macrons. The cafe is well-visited but never too busy, so I can easily stay here for hours and never worry that I am taking a seat away from someone else. Lots of people come through and either buy something to go, or stay and enjoy the atmosphere. It feels like a real community hub, and the owners seem to recognize a lot of the people. The bibimbap is delicious and a good portion size with great components. I like the sprouts in it the best. I've tried lots of the cakes and my favourite is the sweet potato, because it has a great flavour and is a lovely soft and fluffy texture. When you order cake or food the owners also give you a tiny sample of cake, a great way to taste test the various cakes. The cakes are the right size, neither too much nor too little and above all, are not too sweet! I especially love the yuzu soda, which has such a bright flavour. The coffees are good and slightly on the darker/bitter side, which is perfect when paired with the sweetness of a cake or macron!

This place is the BEST! I can’t believe I haven’t left a review yet. It’s a go to spot that makes great drinks AND great cakes. Their sponge based cakes are my absolute favourite. The shop is run by a Korean couple and they are the sweetest, always there when I need a last minute cake order and always giving me extra treats with my purchases. If you haven’t seen their daily display of cakes, you must. Compared to other Vancouver bakeries, their cakes are also very affordable.
